    1. [STOGSDILL] I found them
    2. Jamie Cook
    3. I just wanted to let everyone know that I have found Lucinda's family. By the way of Carelton Stogsdill he really is a wonderful man. Lucinda's parents are James W. Stogsdill and Easter Jones. she had a big family, there were 12 children. So wish me luck in finding any living relatives. I will keep all of you posted of the mystery of her death. I have ordered all Court and Autopsy records for her. I will until I draw my last breath keep looking for the person responsible. Thank all of you for your patience and understanding. Jamie

    3. Fellow Researchers, I have heard from a McGehee cousin that she had heard that the neighbors had poisoned Lucinda and the children. I am wondering if anyone has access to the 1920 census for Cabool. I am wondering who were the people living next door , could it be Myrtle? Jamie

    1. [STOGSDILL] Update
    2. Jamie Cook
    3. I just wanted to up date everyone, I found the Funeral home that took care of Lucinda and her children in 1928. The people there are really wonderful and went way out of there way the man that owns it said that after he talked to me that he went looking for the papers on Lucinda he found them they list no Stogsdill relative. Then he said he noticed how she had died of mysterious causes so he went out to the cemetery and tried to find any Stogsdill that was near her but couldn't. He called me back and told me that there was a man named Daryl Ledder that talked about the family that had been poisoned along time ago, and that he talked to him every morning. He said that he would talk to him tomorrow and get back with me. He said that this family that was poisoned lived in a community named Dunn. So wish me luck. Jamie

    3. Hi Jamie, My Stogsdill family was from Cabool MO also. My G-Grandfather was born there about 1864. I know I have run across the name Lucinda before. I will just have to check back and look for it. My ancestors were: William & Jane, Morris & Polly, Silas and Mary E., John W. & Laura. My grandmother Grace Beatrice Stogsdill was born around there in 1897. Shortly after that date the family moved to AR, then OK then TX. I will look for your information. Grace Wisdom -----Original Message----- From: Jamie Cook [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, November 12, 2000 4:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [STOGSDILL] New to the list Hi I am new to the list I thought I would let everyone know what I am looking for my GG Grandmother was Lucinda R. Stogsdill. She was born in 1888 I do not know where. She died in Cabool, MO in 1928 along with 2 daughters (Grace Weatherman and Nancy Louise) and 1 Grandson (Cecil Weatherman Jr.) at the hands of an unknown person. I am researching her death. They say that she along with the children were poisoned and they all died within days of each other. Lucinda was married to Joseph Jackson McGehee and lived in Cabool. After Lucinda's death he married again to a Myrtle Turner, the family has always believed that Myrtle was the one that killed all of them so she could have Joseph. There was a grand jury but I can not find anything else on the event. I am looking for Lucinda's parents and siblings, in her obit it states that she leaves behind 5 sisters and 4 four brothers and an aged mother. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
