Dear Stiles Group: I am researching this family line- Any assistance would be appreciated with any additional information on this Stiles line- Lois Kay Denaut at [email protected] The Family of Richard STILES (1730-1785) and Frances Hawkins COUSINS Our ancestor Richard Stiles married Frances Hawkins Cousins, sold his 100 acres to Roger Atkinson in 1764 and moved to MecklenburgCo VA in 1765 and to Halifax County VA in 1772. He died on his 464 acre estate about 1782. Richard and Frances had four sons Richard, Samuel, William and John Stiles. Richard and John went to Duncans Creek, Laurens Co SC after the Revolutionary war. Samuel moved to Greenville SC.
