Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/jdJBAEB/562.1 Message Board Post: I thought I better update this with the information I have found. John Barnes was the father of Ruth A. (Barnes) Stiles. I have him born about 1780 in NC. He had two daughters, Ruth and Nancy. Nancy was born about 1807, maybe later. I am not positive of her date of birth. Ruth married Allen Stiles and had five children by him. Nancy Stiles was a child of Ruth and Allen and was born in May 1845 in TN. She died 1925 in TN. Nancy married Euclid Horace Bonham. They had three children; William born 1867 in TN, Flora Bonham (my great great grandma) born Oct 2, 1869 in TN died Sep 3, 1948 in MO) and Edgar H. Bonham born 1871 in Tn died in AL. Flora Bonham married John Sumner. When John died in 1893 she married a man named John McCracken. Flora and John Sumner had one child, a daughter, named Ethel Nicerina Sumner (born Oct. 19, 1891 in Birmingham, AL). Ethel died in June 1944 in Saint Louis, MO. She would marry Frank C. Symons and have four children; Frank Horace. S! ymons (born Mar 22, 1915 died Mar 17, 2003 in MO), Flora Margaret Symons (born Aug 1, 1916 died Jan 1, 1997 in MO), Cecelia Ethel Symons (my grandma) (born Aug 28, 1918 in MO died Dec 13, 1997 in MO) and Ruth Anna Symons (born June 23, 1921 in MO died June 7, 1945 in Saint Louis, MO). Ruth died from Lymphatic Liekemia at the age of 23. She was engaged to a man named Gus Hausom in 1944. .Ruth, Ethel, Flora, Cecelia and Flora are buried in Friedens Cemetery in Saint Louis, MO. Frank H. Symons is buried in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
