Mine are from middle TN and the spelling is Stills. I'm looking for the parents and siblings of William Houston Stills. I can't find him past 1880 when he married Mary Jane Bogle in Cannon Co. Since he couldn't read and write I'm not sure the spellings is the correct one for him. I've seen it in the census as Stills, Stiles, Styles for the same persons. He had 11 children by Mary Jane and may have been married before. He told family there was Indian in the line but need proof. The only info that I have on him is he was b. 1845-48. ON death. cert. list father as Robert Stills and mother as Mary ?. Thats all I know. Can you help me? Would love to talk to others hunting Stills.
