Hi David, This is just an FYI for you. My ancestor, Ashabel RICE, left Marlboro, MA, after the Rev. War and first went to Washington Co., "Maine." But, then went across the water to Digby, NS. No one has labeled him a Loyalist or Sympathizer as he did fight in the War. I'll have to look up the history of Digby, NS, to remind myself why a lot of families moved there in the late 1700's. Betty (near Lowell, MA) P.S. Ashabel RICE moved his family back to "Maine" right around 1800. (Maine didn't become a State until 1820.) Ashabel's grandson came down to MA and married a HUTCHINSON. Charles and Adelaide RICE had a daughter who visited Maine and married "Sanford" KIDDER up there. Sanford's gr-gr-grandfather had a brother back in New Ipswich, NH, who is one of my "mysteries." I believe he married into the STILES family but I can't prove it. (I'm saying this from memory at 6 am, so the archives of this List would have better information.) ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 08, 2007 3:02 AM Subject: STILES Digest, Vol 2, Issue 49 > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
