Elisha is the son of Marvel Stiles and Absalom Perry. I think Emily is the mother of Arnold Perry, born late in her life, and then perhaps she died young. Arnold was then raised by a woman called Jerusha, who may be Elisha's sister. If anyone has encountered the Emily link, or any other wife of Elisha Perry, please reply to this post. Thanks.

Lost Ancestor Ben L. Stiles Baptismal record needed for ancestor Benjamin L. Stiles. Family record identifies his birth as October 22, 1804 in New York. The 1800 Federal Census (pg 1077) lists likely father Avery Stiles as living in Chattaugay, Clinton. The Federal Census for 1810 in Otsego, Plainfield (pg. 123) includes Avery Stiles, as does the 1820 page 210F for Aurora, Niagara County, (now Erie). Does anyone know of a church record for the birth of Ben L. Stiles? (Diane Stiles; [email protected])

In those times they did not know what to do so he lived many years like this - I have pictures of him with it - he was told that if he ever pricked it he would bleed to death. One day in a wheat field he did just that and ended of making to his front yard where he died. Sarah, his wife never fully recovered from seeing this and eventually took her own life by drowning). With a name like "Ezra" is your line a member of the CT Stiles line? Specifically mine moved from NY to Lake and Iroquois Counties and then to Cook County (Chicago). I am a descendant of Avery W. Stiles who is also from the CT line, which you might be yourself. We would probably be very distant cousins.
