Stiles (or Styles). Mary was born 1817 in PA. She married Elijah Dyson in Dec 1831 in Guernsey County, OH. I found 3 adult Stiles ("Stilez" in the census) males in Guernsey Co in 1830; only 1 of which had a female child the correct age to be Mary. This man was Freedom Stiles. Had anyone ever heard of him?? Thanks!

During this time, I have seen several posts on different sites stating that a Stiles ( sometimes it has been Richard and sometimes William) married Mary Rowlett ( sometimes I've seen this given as Rachel Rowlett). During my research of the Rowletts, I have yet to see any proof of a connection between the Rowletts and Stiles. I do believe it must be true because so many state this and it appears there may have been a connection. I have written to several people over the years seeking this information and so far have never received an answer of any type. Does anyone have anything that would prove this connection? If so, I would be very grateful if you could share that with me. I am presently puting all my documentation into my computer genealogy program and will have a book out on the Rowletts in the not to distance future. I would like very much to include the Stiles line if I can get some type of proof and more information on them. If anyone can help me with this, and with your permission, I will list you in my forthcoming book as the source of any information you give to me. Thanks, Tom Rowlett
