My James Stewart b. 1796 in Luzerne Co, Pa m. Mary Jones b. 1805 in Lycoming, Pa. Their known children were, Jerome b. 1826 Josiah b. 1828 Charles b. 1830 Samuel b. 1832 Mary b. ca 1834 James b. ca 1837 Alexander b. 1840 Anthony b. 1842 Matilda b. 1844 Eliza b. 1846 They moved to Delaware Co, Ohio 1820, to Coles Co, Ill 1839, to Iowa Co, Wis 1843. James d. there in 1865. Mary his wife d. in Delaware Co, Iowa in 1876. I do believe that James is a descendant of Lazarus and Martha Espy Stewart. Possibly a grandson. Am looking at possibly a son of Josiah Stewart who married Mercy Chapman. Have NO proof for this. Naming patterns are there as you will see my James named a son Josiah. If any of this sounds familiar would love to hear from you. Your Margaret does not show up in my Stewart info, but perhaps you have something that I dont and I would be glad to share.
