They lived in Paisley, Scotland, before immigrating to America 1858. They lived in NYC and later (by 1870) moved to Paterson, NJ, where Daniel was a dyer in the silk mill. They had the following children: 1. Robert Stewart who died in the Civil War 2. William Stewart who married Jean 3. Daniel Stewart who married Sarah Clark 4. Ann Stewart who died at age eleven in Scotland 5. Elizabeth Stewart who married William Reid 6. Annie Stewart who married Harry Shaw 7. Marion Stewart who married Peter McLagan Other names associated with the family are Thompson, Van Kirk, Seagraves, Robertson. I have quite a bit of info on the Stewarts and Barclays and would really like to connect with other descendants.
