Harris, The first Dean I find is Henry Harrison Dean and brother Howell Harrison Dean in Henry CO VA 1782. They both signed a deed for my John Stewart in Patrick CO VA in 1791. John`s son Joseph, who was the youngest married a Margaret Dean. I then find an Anthony Dean who was a War of 1812 Soldier in SC married to a Susanna, in Grayson CO VA court records. Anthony Dean probably died in the war of 1812 and his wife came back to VA where his estate was setttled. I believe Anthony Dean is related, as several members of my family and allied families were involved in this court case. Ring any bells, an Anthony Dean in SC, War of 1812?
