I am not sure where in VA my Stewart's were from,but they appear in the 1850 Census of Spencer Co,KY. His name was James Stewart and in this census his wife appears to be a woman named Mildred. The children listed in the household are Harriet age 17(my 3rd grandmother and named her first son James) and Alexander age 12. Nearby lives an Anderson Stewart age 32,wife Nancy (formerly Nichols(on),daughter Lucy Ann age 1. I believe James was the brother of Charles Stewart who lived in the same county at this time whose wife I am told was Martha Hand. I have been told in the past that James had another son older than Anderson which appears in 1850 Census of Spencer Co,KY. who died about 1847 and had lived in another county.
