Widow Of Late Judge Murray Passes Older residents of this city will lean with regret the news of the death of Mrs. Laura Isobel Dodd, widow of the late Judge Murray Dodd, which occurred in Halifax yesterday. She was in her 84th year and her passing followed a general illness. Her late husband was County Court Judge here for many years and he was a member of one of Sydney's oldest and best known families. His father was the Honorable Justice Edmund Dodd of the Supreme Court. Funeral Wednesday The remains of Mrs. Dodd will arrive in Sydney on Wednesday morning and will repose at the Brookland Street Presbyterian Church where funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon, and interment in Hardwood Hill cemetery. Surviving Relatives The late Mrs. Dodd is survived by a number of nieces as follows; Mrs. J.J. Daly, in Calgary; Miss F.M. Dodd, R.N. this city; Miss Lena Johnstone, of Halifax, and now in this city; Murray and Edmund Johnstone, and Lewis Johnstone of Toronto, grandnephews, and grandnieces are: Mrs. J.H. Kaiser, Syracuse, N.Y.; Mrs. Carr Stewart, Pawtucket, R.I.; Mrs. Charles Collyer, Lake Charles, Louisiana; Mrs. Ethel Johnstone, Halifax. .. HALIFAX, Feb 2 (CP) Mrs. Laura Isabel Dodd, 86, widow of Judge Dodd, died today in hospital here. She was a native of Sydney, N.S. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Blowers. She had lived in Halifax for some time before her illness. DODD DIES IN HALIFAX Mrs. Laura I. Dodd, widow of Judge Murray Dodd of Sydney, died at the Victoria General Hospital early yesterday morning. She had made her home at the Lord Nelson hotel here prior to her illness. Mrs. Dodd was a native of Sydney, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Blowers. Her husband was county court judge at Sydney for many years and a member of one of Sydney's oldest and best known families. His father was the Hon. Mr. Supreme Edmund Dodd of the Supreme Court.
