Monday, August 5, 1991 The Chronicle-Herald, Halifax, N.S. WILLIAM D. PETTIPAS PETTIPAS, William David - 90, Linwood, Antigonish County, died Sunday at home. Born in Linwood, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (DeCoste) Pettipas. He was a section man for CN Railway for many years. He retired in 1965. He was a member of Holy Name Society, St. Peter's Parish, Tracadie. He is survived by his wide, the former Florence E. DeCoste; three daughters, Betty (Mrs. Jerome Sampson), Linda (Mrs. Art Stewart), Doreen (Mrs. Jack Carr), all of Linwood; three sons, Sherman, St. Francis Harbour, Guysborough County; Joey, Hamilton, Ont.; Frank, Willowdale Lane; a sister, Agnes, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mabel, Catherine; a brother, Walter. The body is in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie, visiting 3-5, 7-9 p.m. today and 2-5, 7-10 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Rev. Howie Gardiner officating. PETTIPAS Funeral Services for the late William David Pettipas, 90, Linwood, were held in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie on August 7 with Rev. Howie Gardiner officating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mr. Pettipas died at home on August 4. Pallbearers were Brian Pettipas, Allan Pettipas, Danny Mattie, Shannon Sampson, Duane Sampson and Jody Stewart. Lectors were Tammy Linkletter, Raylene Stewart and Jerome Sampson. Organist was Ursala Ryan with volin soloist Jackie Dunn.
