MacINTOSH SOUTH RIVER LAKE - Stewart Allistair MacIntosh, 59, of South River Lake, Antigonish County, died Tuesday on his farm following a tractor accident. Born in South River Lake, he was a son of the late Alexander Duncan and Nettie (Stewart) MacIntosh. He was a member of the Masonic Sunrise Lodge No. 116. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Christina MacDonald, South River Lake; a brother, Leslie, St. Catherines, Ont.; and several nieces and nephews He was predeceased by a sister, Minnie Jean (Mrs. Gordon MacDonald). The remains are resting at Curry's Funeral Home, Antigonish. They will be transferred Friday to King's United Church, Loch Katrine. Funeral service will be in King's United Church at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to King's United Church Memorial fund. - possibly same newspaper.... Accident Victim Mourned Funeral services for the late Stewart MacIntosh, 59, of Loch Katrine, were held last Friday in King's United Church with Rev. Cyril Chaulk officating. Prior to Friday's service a Masonic service was held at Curry's Funeral home with 35 Masons participating. Mr. MacIntosh died on March 20 on his farm following a tractor accident. He was pinned under the farm tractor which upset when it struck a snow-covered pile of sand in his driveway. He was towing his pickup truck in order to get it started so he could attend a neighbor's funeral. Cameron Partridge who was helping Mr. MacIntosh contacted the RCMP and an ambulance. However when they extricated him he was pronounced dead. Born in Loch Katrine, he was a son of the late Alexander and Nettie (Stewart) Macintosh. He lived all his life on the family farm in Loch Katrine. He was a member of Kings United Church and a church elder for the past four years. He was a long-time member and a former Master of Sunrise Masonic Lodge, Antigonish. He is survived by one sister, Christine (Mrs. Gordon MacDonald), Loch Katrine; one brother, Leslie, St. Catherines, Ontario; several nieces and nephews; and two aunts and one uncle. He was predeceased by a sister Minnie Jean (Mrs. Gordon MacDonald). Pallbearers at Friday's service were Duncan Cameron, John MacNaughton, Stubbert MacHattie, Henry Nichols, Donald MacNeill and Robert MacNeill. Interment was in Loch Katrine cemetery.
