I do not have any information on them before SC. The Pattersons immigrated from northern Ireland about 1803, spending a few years in Baltimore, before moving to Chester Co, SC. Abraham Patterson died there in 1806. You can see all the information I have on these familes at http://www.kennedyreuther.com/Family/Terry/Terry.htm. Also included are the Ellisons, who married 2 of the Patterson sisters. All these families moved to Talbot & Harris Counties, Georgia, together around 1830. Catherine Reuther

There is a lady in Tuscaloosa who traces her ancestry back through ELAM and MEIGS to a James MEIGS b1824 mar Nancy Ann TERRY b. 1818, and back to James TERRY mar Susanna CLEMENTS, and Susanna back to Zepheniah CLEMENTS (SC).
