Hi Fred, There were many early Stewart`s in MD, I think the spelling was flip flop thing. I am inmterested in a John Stewart who married a PARRISH, he had a son Stephen born abt 1712. There was also an Edward Stewart who married Mary Anderson. Edward was born abt 1732 and had a son named Stephen(born abt 1757) who married Eleanor Clarke. Stephen moved to Rowan CO NC abt 1797 and lived there about 20 years. I noticed there was a very early Charles Steuart there also. Appeiate any help. Actually the MD archives are searchable.
