    3. Hey Susan, We have emailed before. Have you gotten back to John Steward and wife Sarah Parish yet? I am looking for a Stephen Stewart who was their son, born abt 1712. Then I am searching for an Edward Stewart who was born ca 1732, married Mary Anderson, had a son named Stephen who married Eleanor Clarke. Stephen was born ca 1757. Stephen had a brother William and a sister named Susanna. 3. Teresa - Hi I am certain that you and I have never communicated with one another. I have belonged to this list for a few years, but not able to actively participate because of other genealogical priorities with my King line. However, I have tried to keep one eye open hoping to see any of a few magic words like Anne Arundel and Stephen. My last Stewart male is three female generations back; so, I am not able to provide any DNA data for my Stewarts. The oldest information for my Stewart line is Samuel Preston Stewart, variously reported in the census as Samuel B., Preston and Pleasant. According to family records, his date of birth is Oct 23, 1810. He married Emily Cheatham ca 1830 in Montgomery Co, KY. However, I also have a document written in 1816 where the Court in Montg. Co, as a part of the settlement of the estate of David Stewart Jnr, established an apprenticeship for Samuel B Preston - aged 16. However, my Samuel would have been born ca 1810 and the 1830 census confirms that my Samuel was born ca 1810 - definitely not 1800. So - did the clerk, or whoever was making the Court's copy accidentally write Samuel's age as 16 instead of 6, for the moment confusing his age with the year 1816? Or am I on a wild goose chase? I do not know which Stewart male in Montgomery was his father. The reasons why I am interested in Anne Arundel are the appearance in both places of the names Stephen and Ezekiel. To me, it definitely appears to be a branch of the Anne Arundel line. Also, if I remember correctly, is the appearance of the surnames Preston and For(e)man (one of Samuel's sons was named William Firman) in Anne Arundel. I was in the Clerk's office in Montg. Co a few years ago and was told that certain historical documents had been destroyed - do not remember how nor does it really matter now how they were destroyed. So, I may not be able to prove the events at this point. I definitely do not intend to bend the facts in order to fit my facts. :>) So, if this helps, please let me know. Thanks, Donald King > >> Teresa wrote: >> Anyone researching the Anne Arundel CO Maryland >> lines? This is a very old >> line in Maryland dating back to >> the 1600`s. >> >> >
