The Stewart DNA List was created and exists to support the Stewart DNA Projects and more in depth discussion of that topic than what has been "tolerated" on the Stewart surname list. There is some overlap of subscribers to both lists, but there are people on the DNA list that are not subscribed to this one and will not have had benefit of your message. mtDNA is such that it does not track to surnames, is more anthropological in nature than genealogical and it is entirely possible for many of us women to share the same mtDNA and therefore the same Ancestral mother.
