Wednesday, April 14, 1982 The Coast Guard, Shelburne, N.S. OSCAR STEWART EAST BACCARO - Oscar Stewart, 82, died Saturday, April 3, 1982 in Roseway Hospital, Shelburne. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Frank and Georgina Stewart. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Clark's Harbour Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Nickerson; two sons, Allison and Gordon, both of East Baccaro; a daughter Mary (Mrs. William Barkhouse), Shag Harbour; a brother Douglas, Shelburne; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Dawson and a sister Georgina. The funeral service was held Wednesday, April 7, 1982 in Kenny's Funeral Home, Barrington with Rev. Terry Sommerville officating. Burial was in Woodside Cemetery, Port LaTour, Shelburne County. - Wednesday, May 5, 1982 The Coast Guard, Shelburne, N.S.
