    3. Did any of your family go to Iowa ? My Stewart's were in KY, then IL and Indiana then on to Iowa. My problem is finding my gr grandmother's parents. She was Elizabeth Stewart/Stuart born Jan. 5, 1817 in KY. She first married a Morris or Marsh then married William Anderson Porter in 1839 in IL. Moved to IA and both died there. Does any of this fit your STEWART's ? Would sure love to find who she belongs to..........Dorothy ----- Original Message ----- From: <SHAABBOTT@aol.com> To: <STEWART-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2006 4:50 PM Subject: Re: [STEWART] Stewart use of surnames as middle names for children? > > Karen, > > Where did your Stewarts go from Kentucky? > > I have a John Stewart who was born 1799, who was apparently born in Kentucky > but was in Illinois-Indiana by 1820.
