Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AmJBAIB/7351 Message Board Post: I am looking for any possible family connections for a Malissa/Melissa Stewart who was b. abt 1828 in SC (one census gives as late as 1830, but she had a child in 1843, so I lean to the earlier date). She shows up in 1850 in Dooly County, Georgia, married to Benjamin Franklin Hawkins, a blacksmith, b. in NC abt 1820. They remained in Dooly until around Ben's death between 1870 and 1880. In 18880, Malissa had moved her family to Worth County, GA, presumably to be near one of her sons who had moved there previously. Children of Malissa Stewart and B. F. Hawkins were: Malvina Henry Thomas Mary Elizabeth Melissa Benjamin Franklin Jr Martha J. (possible) George Samantha Sarah (possibly Sarah Leanna) Thanks, Karen Dutton
