My 3xgreat-grandfather, John Stewart, was born in York County, South Carolina in 1803. He was married to Sarah Mullinax. I have checked through everything I have on them (not meaning I have it all) and there doesn't seem to be an Alexander. If you are interested, I can send you the names of the children of John and Sarah. My line: John Stewart/Sarah Mullinax > John Stewart (Jr)/Catherine Whisenant > Lacy Stewart/Amanda Jones. John and Catherine at some point moved to Habersham County Georgia where their son, Lacy, was born in 1828.
