This line appears to be similar to the one that James Stewart of the Woodlands is working on. His line goes back to a John Stewart born abt. 1740 of Darlington, SC and before that Dobbs County, NC. A grandson of his John Stewart named John died in Dooly County, GA in 1840 and a son of this John named Eli born April 1838 in Dooly County, GA. and lived in and married Jane Warren in 1858 and entered the war for the Confederacy in Barbour County, AL before moving to Webster County, MS in the early to mid 1870's and then to Jackson Parish, LA by 1879 . There was also a Shadrack Stewart son of John Stewart, Jr., 1776, of Dobbs County, NC. This Shadrack was a grandson of the older John Stewart born abt. 1740 that lived in Dobbs County, NC and died in Darlington County SC in 1818
