Hi all! I keep resurrecting my hunt, and am looking for any information on my Stewart line. My ggg-grandfather, James Stewart, was born around 1828 in Clinton, PA (Findley Twp, Allegheny County). He moved to Muskingum County, OH in the 1850's, married Lydia McHenry, then moved to Morgan County, OH. I was given some leads from a previous posting, but have lost e-mail addresses. This is what I have: My James is probably the son of another James, born around 1790 in PA, and Isabel, born around 1792 in PA. I do have some church records and the 1850 census to help substantiate this. James (1790) is the son of another James Stewart, died 1826, and Margaret McCune. I would LOVE any information anyone may have about this line. I do know that this family was very involved in the Valley Presbyterian Church in the Clinton, PA area. I believe there is additional information about this bunch in a book recently written about Findley Twp, PA, but the book is not currently in print (I am on a waiting list) and I don't have access to it.
