Eric and Listers, Scotland is good....my folks came over to Nova Scotia in 1773 from Greenock, (Renfrewshire?) Scotland. I am not sure of the shire, as that particular area has had many names. I think currently it is Renfrewshire; at any rate about 30 miles from Glasgow on the Clyde. My John Stewart was likely from Kintyre, perhaps Campbeltown. There is a line of Stewart's in the USA that match my DNA quite closely and they claim Campbeltown as theirs. So for sure there are Stewarts over 'here' that will gladly share any information they have, unfortunately most of us stop dead in the water at the North American Continental shelf.
