He may be the father of my ancestor, James Stewart, b. 1795 GA. James stated in a census record that his parents were foreign-born. James married Sarah Tucker. Children: James L. (married Lovie Wise in 1849, daughter of Ezekial Wise of Barbour County, AL), Mary T. (married Gilford Kent at the residence of James Steward, Barbour County, 1857), Lucinda (married Shadrack P. Sutton in Barbour County, 1842), and Sarah. Most of this family migrated to Louisiana to the Bienville Parish / Claiborne Parish area.
