Monday, January 21, 1935 The Halifax Chronicle, Halifax, N.S. MRS. JOHN R. STEWART NEW GLASGOW, Jan. 20 - Following an illness of several weeks, Mrs. John R. Stewart, Brookside Avenue, passed away on Saturday night. The deceased who was 59 years of age, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Forbes, Merigomish. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart resided for some time in Sydney, but have been prominent residents on New Glasgow for the past 20 years. In addition to her husband, there survives two sons, Roy and Gordon, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Helen Turner, Roxbury, Mass. The funeral will take place from Trinity United Church on Tuesday afternoon art 2:00 o'clock with interment at Lorne Street Cemetery.
