Hi Beverly; I seen your post before Xmas and with the Holidays didn't get the time to respond. I am Larry Shannon and my 1st cousin has a 25/25 match with Robert Steven Stewart. I have exchanged some information with Steve and he sent me the information he had on Daniel Stewart which appears to be your ancestor. It looks like if we have a common ancestor he was a either a sib to Daniel or family back in Ireland. This brings me to my questions/ Do you know or know whom I could contact to find out the following; 1. When he came to the US were there other Stewarts with him? 2. How was the information that he came from Ireland documented? 3. Do we know which boat he came on? And 4. Where in Derry Ireland was he located? Any of the above would be very helpful in connecting my Stewart with him. I have ordered the additional markers which may help. My Stewart family is as follows: My Mother was Edna Stewart. I have been working with the family for over 15 years with little success. Here is what I have been able to confirm; My GG Grandfather was Isaiah McSTEWART. He also went by STEWART. I have been unable to find any of his ancestors or siblings. However, I have been able to find many of his descendents but none of us have been able to find his roots. 1.Isaiah McStewart, b 16 Nov. 1801 in Blue Springs (Now Mosheim), Greene Co., TN and married Lydia Yeakley on 4 Dec. 1832 in Greene Co., TN and Bond was provided by David McStewart. Confirmed Siblings were Susannah Stewart, b 4 Dec. 1834, Greene Co., TN, md James A. Smith Isaiah moved to Greene Co or Lawrence Co., MO in 1865 and joined most of his children.
