ALVA PRISCILLA STEWART STEWART, Alva Priscilla - 81, of Cross Roads, Country Harbour, Guysborough County, formerly of Tatamagouche, died Sunday in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born in Abany, P.E.I., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Gratto) Moore. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and a member of and past noble grand of Freedom Rebekah Lodge, both in Tatamagouche. She was a member of Stormont Rebekah Lodge, Goldboro. She was very active in the community, being a member of the Women's Missionary Society, and several senior citizens organizations. She and her first husband, E. Curtis Foote, operated a florist shop in Tatamagouche for 25 years. She is survived by her second husband, G. Maitlyn Stewart; two sons, Robert C., James M., both of Tatamagouche; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Mrs. Douglas Sheehan), New Glasgow; a brother, Harry Moore, Hamilton, Ont.; a sister, Minnie (Mrs. J.J. Murray), Trenton; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a number of step-children. She was predeceased by her first husband, E. Curtis Foote; two infant sons; a brother, Joseph; two sisters, Edith and Clara. The body is in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, visiting 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. today, where a Rebekah service will be held 7 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sedgewick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Murray Graham officating. Burial will be in Lockerbie's Cemetery.
