    3. Has anyone already tested for DNA from this STEWART line or recognize anyone from this line. We are planning to do DNA test on a male from the Robert Stewart line listed below James Stewart bc 1700 living near New Bern, Craven co.NC. d.bc Feb 1761 in Cumberland co.NC son: John Stewart bc 1720 d.1775 .Wilkes co.GA. Robert Stewart b.1749 near New Bern ,Craven co.NC. d. Dec 8 1835 Pickens co.SC. Per application for Revolutionary war Pension, this STEWART family moved from around New Bern , Craven co.NC to Cumberland co.NC, ( where there are various records thru 1755.). this family then moved to Cumberland co.NC ( John is shown as administrator of the estate of his Father, James, in that county at February court, 1761.) This family then moved to Wilkes co.GA.before Robert Stewart was grown and before the revolutionary war After the war Robert Stewart and his family moved to Secona in Pickens District, SC where he lived until his death, Dec 8, 1835. James Stewart bc 1700,probably around New Bern, Craven or Chowan co.NC was probably the James Stewart listed as a landowner and constable for Craven co.in 1749 and 1750 and in other sundry court records in the county until 1755 Sons: John Stewart bc 1720 Md. Ann CH: John Jr. bc 1740 dc 1785 Captain in the Revolotionary war, was apparently killed by an indian raiding party.In 1786, his sons filled out a claim that Indians raided their homeplace and killed their father James bc 1742 d Wilkes co.GA. William bc 1746 d Wilkes co. GA Robert b 1749 d.Dec 8 1835 Pickens co SC, bur in Stewart family burial site. Md.Nancy Holloway in Columbia co.GA James Stewart Jr.bc 1722 CH: Charles bc 1740 d Cumberland co.NC Adam bc1745 Archibald bc 1750 in Cumberland co.NC, 1777, refused to take the oath of allegiance to the new government and was ordered to depart from the state and country within 60 days. Thomas Stewart bc 1732 dc 1761 Cumberland co.NC. Md.Margaret CH: Elizabeth-shown on his estate records as an orphan It has been said the Robert Stewart came from GA.to Pickens co.SC with his dirty dozen and each one of them had a dirty dozen,well populating Pickens co.SC.
