McCartney came to America in the late 1880s with 3 of his children. Margaret, Robert & Alexander and lived in Newport, Ri with my great grandmother (Margaret) and her husband, my great grandfather, James Jestings. He was a widow at the time. I did not know he had any other children but from your post, it seems the daughter Nancy you are referring to must clearly be from that family. McCartney and his 3 children are buried in Newport, RI. I have the photos of their markers.
