    3. There is an excellent book on the Captain Ralph Stewart family entitled Tracking The Pioneers, History and Genealogy of Capt. Ralph Stewart and his Descendants. There is quite a bit of info on Absolum. I am a descendant of Ralph's brother, John Stewart who left Augusta County, VA, as a child to go to Rowan/Iredell County, NC. The book is written by Stanley C. Browning. You might find it by googling. 2. Dub, Ask about DNA tests. We have a solid fix on John of Darlington through four sons including our Absiolum's father Elias, but nothing close in any of the other Stewarts that have been tested.
