He says he was born in Tennessee but the census records have no county information. In the 1850 census for Bradley County, Tennessee he was living with Elizabeth Hooks (Hoocks). In the 1860 census he had married Elizabeth and moved to Wright County, Missouri. I am looking for who his parents were and who he married (if anyone)before he met Elizabeth. I also can't find when he died or his grave. His son, my great-grandfather, died in 1914 and is buried in Roper Cemetery in Laclede County, Missouri.
