The John Stewart (of Forth Creek) born 1748 in Augusta, VA who married Margaret Potts (1770) and died about 1833 in Iredell, NC was of the Cowpasture Stewarts. I do not know about the John who died 1818 in Darlington. I cannot find mention of him in either the Tracks of the Pioneers book or the Tracks in Iredell Clay book.
