Hi Dick I just wondered if you knew what happened to some of my Stewart cousins in the sense they went to I believe North Carolina in 1810 but went to Georgia shortly after. Did Georgia take over part of NC at some point? Did boundaries change? Being from north of 49 I am not up on early issues between States. From the same family of Joseph and Mary Stewart of Newberry, SC, I've been searching for the presumed marriage of their youngest daughter Esther Stewart, b c 1784 and mentioned in Joseph's will of 1808. I did find an Esther who drew a piece of land in the 1827 Georgia Land drawings in the NW part of the state, but nothing further.
