I am trying to trace my ancestry on my fathers side. I have gotten as far back as Charles Stewart (1719-1794) born in Co. Cork Ireland married to Mary Oakley Johnson (1730-1770). He is my 6th great grandfather from the information I have been able to gather online but I was always told that our Stewart line came from Scotland originally...so I was wondering if anyone else had information on that and if you can help me go a bit further back on our line.
