Stewart is James' grandson, then he most likely would be somewhat correct in his grandfather being born in Ireland and not Scotland as previously thought. But that is not a guarantee as he may have been told, "your grandfather grew up in Ireland" or "came over to the US from Ireland" but yet he was physically born in Scotland and then somehow ended up in Ireland before coming to the US. Lots of possibilities exist but I'll focus some research on Ireland since his grandson stated that is where he was born and there is a good chance he would have known this through family stories.
