Arthur Stewart UPPER MUSQUODOBOIT, Oct. 17 - The death occurred at his home in Elmsdale on Tuesday of Arthur Stewart son of the late Arthur and Elzabeth Stewart, at the age of 78 years. His first wife, Christina Henry, predeceased him many years ago. By this marriage there were two sons, Albert, who died when quite young and John, who lives at Elmsdale. His second wife, formerly Rene Shaw, has nursed him faithfully through his long illness. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Graham Murphy, Westville; Mrs. Clary Muir, Elmsdale, Mrs. William Ross, Stellarton and Mrs. Freeman Cooper, Mechanic Falls, Maine. Three brothers also survive, Sidney in Western Canada; Tupper in Elmsdale and Campbell, Mechanic Falls, Maine. Predeceased him were one sister, Mrs. Jefferson Stewart and three brothers, Roy, Blackie and Augustus. Rev. J. M. Sproule conducted the funeral service from St. James United Church. Pall bearers were Ernest, Robie, Donald, Vernon, Clarence and Stanley Stewart. The deceased lived for many years at Upper Musquodoboit and was well known and highly respected both here and in his late home at Elmsdale. Interment was in St. James cemetery.
