My gggf was Joseph and Margaret Stewart. I can account for all his sons if Joel was a son. By DNA Joel was definitely of our line. However, lore says when ggf Shadrack went to Arkansas in 1860, he went to visit a brother. No brother there that I know. In his papers was a letter dated 1857 unsigned and addressed to Mother and Father. I think this was his oldest son, whose oldest child was born in Arkansas, and it references the "old man".
