He moved to Chartiers from Peters Township in the late 1700's with his Father, John Stewart. Captain James married Nancy Morrison. I'm looking for info on James father John Stewart who was born approx 1745 to 1829. A published article states that John Stewart and his family (unknown wife, who is Captain James mother?) initially settled on the farm owned by Andrew Powell. I would like to find out more about John who was also in the Battle of Barndywine, Continental Army. Any help is greatly appreciated!
