A descendant says she was born in Arkadelphia, AR and married John Wilson Cooper in 1882. Where they were married I have no idea. It could have been AR, OK or TX. John and Dora lived in and around Gainesville, TX the rest of their lives and are buried in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. The couple had four children, Anna (had a Van Zandt son), Emma married a Martin (G G or J G), Harvey and George Thomas. To my knowledge they all remained in or close to Gainesville and some are also buried in the Fairview Cemetery. Both Dora and John Wilson are my brick walls. If anyone can help I would appreciate it so much. I have been at this for fifteen years and would appreciate any little scrap of information on any of these people. Thank you!
