Dixie was born on February 10, 1932, in Chilhowee, MO., to Clarence and Sylvia (Currant) Stewart. She married Edward Stoneking in September 1947, in Belton, MO. Dixie was a seamstress and retired in 1975. She moved from Clinton to Blue Springs in 2007. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Glen; five brothers, Daniel, Wesley, Raymond, Roy and Archie Stewart; and four sisters, Mildred Sidwell, Ilen Diamond, Myrtle Johnson and Dorothy Petrie. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Zumalt (Larry) of Blue Springs; two sisters, Verna Gunn and Shirley Crook; five grandchildren, Marcy (Tony) Esposit, Larry (Charmaine) Zumalt, Tammy Rahn, Tamberlyn (Dave) Beiri and Cori (Brandon) Bowles; thirteen great-grandchildren, Brandon, Anthony, Christi and Nick Esposit, Jacob Glen and Olivia Beiri, Brytni, John, Chrissy, Jimmy, Stephen, Skylar and Dalton Rahn and two great-great grandchildren, Hunter and Summer. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Consalus Funeral Home. Funeral services will at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the funeral home with burial in the Carpenter Cemetery, Chilhowee, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter and may be left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 South Second, Clinton, MO. 64735.
