Mrs. Grace Stewart OXFORD, Feb. 28 - Following an illness of three years the death pf Mrs. Grace Stewart occurred on Sunday, Feb. 23rd at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. Carlin, East Hansford where she had been cared for during the last 2 years and a half of her life. The late Mrs. Stewart was born in South Victoria (N.S.) in 1868, the daughter of John and Grace Ross Stewart and was a graduate of Amherst Academy and the Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing, Boston. She carried on her profession of nursing for about 20 years in eastern states and Nova Scotia. Mrs. Stewart is survived by two brothers, John and Peter in the western states; four sisters, Minnie, Jennie, Anna and Lizzie, all in the Canadian West. Her husband predeceased her ten years ago. In the absence of her pastor, Rev. E.G.B. Foote, the funeral service was conducted by Rev. H.G. Taylor of Oxford Baptist Church. Interment was in Pine Grove cemetery. Mrs. Roy Burpee and Miss Alice Newcombe, R.N. of Moncton, and Miss Shirley Angeline of Truro, were among those attending the funeral.
