William did not come to America but his sons did. William, an orphan, b.1727 came aboard the "Happy Return" arriving in May of 1746 according to "Emigrants to Pennsylvania" pg.123, an indentured servant to John Atchinson of Lancaster county for three years. They eventually settled in Monongalia county Va. I am trying to make the connection to Stewarts preceeding him in Ireland/Scotland.
