All of the circumstantial evidence points to Thomas (d 15 May 1695) as being the son of George Abbott of Rowley, however I still believe this is a hypothesis requiring more proof in order to be considered as factual. Your research supports the conclusion espoused by Lemuel Abbott in "Descendants of George Abbott of Rowley..." that Thomas, Jr. lived in the same George Abbott family in Rowley as Thomas Sr., Nehemiah and George, but that he was a relative and not a son of George, Sr. I just wish we had something more definitive. I agree with your observation that the English baptismal records for the children of George Abbott of Rowley would go a long way to clearing things up.
