No mention of an alternate marriage in the file. Mourning is suppse to be the sister (or some relation) to the Governor of Virginia, John Floyd.  I don't have my Stewart database in front of me, so this is a rough recall of Mourning's family. She isn't my direct line, so I haven't researched her. But if I remember correctly she is connected to the Floyd family. When I saw the pension I was concerned I had her in my database incorrectly.  Maybe a direct descendant will shed some light on this.   Anywho, while the pension was denied to Mourning, I did find her name on an index of pensioners. Perhaps there is an alternate pension that I just didn't find.    Angela       GENEALOGY: n. I think her name was Mourning Burford Floyd, married John Stewart JR. John Stewart SR had a couple of children that married into the Floyd family.
