DAVID CLEMENTS of Monroe County Indiana testified April 15-1833 that he was well acquainted with THOMAS STEWART in 1775 and they resided about 6 miles apart. ***************** Years later after THOMAS STEWART was deceased-LAZARUS STEWART of Washington County Illinois-"one of the four sons-the only surviving children now living of THOMAS STEWART" The best we can surmise is: Son:LAZARUS born c. 1786- resided in Washington Co.
