Soon moved to Amite, Mississippi; later lived in Iberville, Louisiana; then Saint Bernard Louisiana. Died about 1880 in Orange, Marion, Florida. Married mary Ramsey in 1830, Amite. They had at least one son. Married Laura West Wilson about 1874. Also known as: R A Stewart, Richard A Stewart, Dick Stewart, Black Dick, Reverend Stewart (Methodist Episcopal Church), Colonel Stewart (Mexican War) and Captain Stewart (Civil War). his son in law was George West Wilson of Florida.
