Alexander had 3 brothers: James (farmer) married Jane Smith obert (factor) married Mary Boyd homas (clerk) married Alice Winkler, widow of Henry Winkler and three sisters: Mary married James Boyd anet married Edwin Smith argaret married Robert Boyd Alexander and Mary had 8 children: Alexander eorge ary ames ane anet ichael obert Family legend is that Alexander's ancestors were farmers in Northern reland or in lowland Scotland. However, I haven't found information o substantiate either theory. I have not been able to figure out ary's maiden name yet. There is not much to go on with the US Census at that time. My nformation comes from an old family bible, dated 1862. ________________________________ ******************************** LEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION to the address fields when you are sending or eplying to list mail. --------------------------------- lease visit Clan Stewart in America's web site: http://www.clansstewart.org ----------------------------------- ooking for Scottish games in your area?
