I'm descended from Leighton's brother, Nathan. (Nathan Stewart to William Fredrick Stewart to Florence Stewart to Cheryl Bordine to me). I have come across two other people (not Stewarts that I can tell) in my Georgia research who were born in the mid to late 1800's who are named Leighton/Laton Erastus xxx . I have a note written by a deceased family member about eight Stewart brothers coming over together, and I've been stuck on that for months. Like you, I have four generations going back and then after that, supposedly, was one of the brothers from Scotland. Where did you come across the eight brothers you mentioned??? I am looking for Information on my Great Grandmother 1st husband. His name was W.G. Stewart born abt. 1874 in AL. He was married to Emma Louise Britt on October 6, 1895 in Columbus, Lowndes Co., MS.
